A simple workflow to restore old photos
Scan the print at the highest resolution your scanner offers, or photograph it flat in even light. Drop the file into the tool, turn on noise reduction to calm film grain, and use Deep Enhance or Lanczos with moderate sharpness to restore edge contrast around faces, hair and clothing.
What cannot be fixed
Deep motion blur or fully smeared text cannot be recovered, as the original detail no longer exists in the file.
