Every feature, every resolution, every download. No paywall, no credits, no trial that expires.
Increase image resolution online free with Lanczos and bicubic resampling, sharpen a blurry photo, and upscale image to 4K online free — all inside your browser. A photo enhancer with no sign up, no watermark, and no uploads: your image never leaves your device.

Interpolation + unsharp mask — not AI, not a neural network. Honest math, visible detail.

Batch mode: add several images and they process one after another with these shared settings.
Drag and drop a JPG, PNG or WebP, or click to browse. It loads straight into your browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Pick a target resolution, tune sharpness, and toggle noise reduction or a color and contrast lift. Lanczos for maximum detail, bicubic for speed.
A Web Worker does the heavy lifting, then you save a clean PNG or JPG at full resolution. No watermark, no queue, no limits.
Every feature, every resolution, every download. No paywall, no credits, no trial that expires.
No account, no email, no verification step. Open the page and start upscaling immediately.
Processing happens on your device with Canvas and JavaScript. Your image never leaves your browser.
Heavy resampling runs in a Web Worker with OffscreenCanvas where supported, so the interface stays smooth.
Your export is your image. Nothing stamped, nothing branded, nothing downscaled.
Queue several photos with shared settings and let them process one after another, hands off.
When you increase image resolution online free, you are asking software to invent pixels that were never captured. A 1920×1080 photo has about 2 million pixels; a 4K frame needs over 8 million. The extra pixels have to be estimated from the ones already there, and the method used to estimate them decides whether the result looks crisp or mushy.
Bicubic interpolation looks at a 4×4 neighbourhood around each new pixel and fits a smooth curve through those values. It is fast and clean, but it slightly softens fine texture. Lanczos resampling uses a wider windowed sinc kernel, weighing more neighbouring pixels and preserving edge contrast far better — which is why it is the default choice when you want to enhance image quality to 4K free without that plastic, over-smoothed look. The trade-off is a little more computation and, on very high-contrast edges, faint ringing.
Interpolation alone always loses a little acutance, so a second pass is needed to sharpen a blurry photo online free. An unsharp mask blurs a copy of the enlarged image, subtracts it from the original to isolate the edges, then adds that edge detail back with a chosen strength and threshold. Because JPEG compression noise also counts as "detail", a gentle median denoise runs first so grain is not amplified along with the edges. A small contrast and saturation lift finishes the frame.
Bicubic and Lanczos involve no machine learning at all — no model invents faces or text, so what you download is genuinely your photo, just larger, cleaner and sharper. Deep Enhance (AI) is the optional third mode: Real-ESRGAN’s compact general-x4v3 network (~4.9 MB, downloaded once from our own domain and then cached) runs on your device through ONNX Runtime Web — GPU-accelerated with WebGPU where the browser supports it, on the CPU otherwise, which is slower. It performs AI-enhanced detail reconstruction at 4×: it improves moderately degraded or soft photos, but it does not restore detail that is fully absent from a severely degraded source and it is not a pixel-perfect reconstruction of the original scene. If it can’t run, the tool falls back to Lanczos and says so. Either way the file stays local, so this browser based image upscaler is private by default: no server ever sees your image. No. All enhancement happens locally in your browser using Canvas and Web Workers. Your photo never leaves your device.
No. ClarityUp 4K is completely free to use with no sign-up, no account, and no watermark on your downloads.
JPG, PNG, and WebP for both upload and download.
Very large images may be slower to process depending on your device; you'll be warned before processing anything extremely large.
You choose. Bicubic and Lanczos use high-quality interpolation and sharpening — no neural network — and work fully offline once the page has loaded. Deep Enhance (AI) runs Real-ESRGAN's compact general-x4v3 super-resolution network (about 4.9 MB) directly in your browser with ONNX Runtime Web, on your GPU via WebGPU where available and on the CPU otherwise. The model file is served from our own domain and cached after the first use; your image is still never uploaded and no inference API is ever called.
It's AI-enhanced detail reconstruction, not magic restoration. The network predicts what fine detail plausibly belongs at 4× resolution based on what it learned from real photos, so it genuinely improves moderately degraded or soft images. It cannot bring back detail that is fully absent from a severely degraded source, and it isn't a forensic reconstruction of the original scene. If your device can't run it, the tool falls back to Lanczos and tells you so.
